Intimate, Private, Anxious (2023) interrogates the presumed intimacy of the family home through photographic practice, while also considering the anxiety of seeing and being seen. In using analog photography to maintain distance from digital networked technologies, this work reflects on the anxiety felt by photographers and their subjects within the digital age. Through the use of Google Street View technology, the piece draws attention to modes of surveillance that are often in plain sight, yet rarely considered.
